IBTM has revealed the first details of its new Culture Roadshow initiative, created to inspire destinations to make use of their unique culture to enhance their event potential. The organizers have explained it has been designed to discover and showcase destinations whose cultures create unforgettable experiences for customers and travellers.

The best places will be announced on social media and editorial platforms before and during the face-to-face event that will take place at Fira de Barcelona (Barcelona’s Trade Fair) between 29th of November and 1st of December.

The global event is calling for all destinations that wishes to participate to fill out a brief request before September 7th on its website explaining their campaigns, cultural activities and FAM trips experiences to show to their first-time visitors.

Event Director of the IBTM World remarked: “The business events world has adapted to a more disparate working environment post-pandemic, but this has left a gap where business culture would usually be. This presents a huge opportunity for events and destinations to step in. An event is so much more than a place to connect, it’s now a place where business culture lives, and we want to find those destinations which are offering delegates unique and enriching cultural experiences and showcase what they have to offer.” 

Just like last year, IBTM has taken all the essential health measures to protect its participants from Covid 19 and will teach destinations how to take advantage of the situation.
