The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has made key executive hires as it expands the team in the lead-up to AIME 2025 to be held next February.

John Wilson joins AIME as Marketing Director, bringing more than 25 years’ industry expertise to the role.

Wilson is a highly experienced event Marketing Director, having led teams at international event and trade fair organisers Informa, Deutsche Messe and Foundry (IDG).

Wilson is responsible for global marketing communications at AIME as it prepares for its 32nd event in 2025.
Multi-disciplinary creative storyteller Kayla Elliott joins Wilson in the role of Marketing Executive and will be creating content that resonates and connects with AIME’s global audience.

Claire Graham has been appointed Director of Operations and Content and joins the AIME team from Interpoint Events.

With more than 20 years’ event management experience, Graham has managed events across Australia including Taste Festival, Smooth FM Chocolate Festival and the ATSA Independent Living Festival.

Graham joins the team having successfully managed operations for the AIME 2024 show and  brings her expertise in-house for AIME 2025.

Also joining the operations team is Nissa Ni as Event and Systems Coordinator, who comes to the role after almost 15 years at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the home of AIME.

Event Director Silke Calder says the new team members bring new perspectives, skills and insights to complement and bolster the unrivalled event experience of the broader AIME team.

“We are so excited to welcome John, Claire, Kayla and Nissa to the AIME team. They are already making their impact felt, bringing new ideas and inspiration as preparations for AIME 2025 continue at pace,” she says.

Calder says AIME has cemented its position as the leading event for the international business events community in the region.

“The growth of AIME 2024 was just phenomenal, and we are confident our team will deliver an event in 2025 that’s bigger and better than ever,” she says.

AIME 2025 will be the fourth event delivered by Calder and her team from Talk2 Media and Events, which manages the show on behalf of Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB).

The 2025 event is set to be a blockbuster. Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), AIME has expanded its footprint to 15,000 sqm over 10 bays to accommodate more than 600 exhibitors, 650 hosted buyers and the 20,000 meetings that are set to take place on the showfloor.

AIME connects international and local buyers with world-class exhibitors from Asia Pacific and around the world. Next year’s three-day event will be held 10-12 February. In 2025 for the first time, the global exhibitions association UFI will co-locate its 2025 Asia-Pacific Conference with AIME at MCEC, with its event to follow AIME on 13-14 February 2025.
