On our 16-day Everest Base Camp Trek, we get to see the world's most famous mountain climbers (the Sherpas), explore Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site, and visit high altitudes Buddhist temples. Tengboche monastery, among others, holds sacred importance for Buddhists. A couple of nights at Namche Bazaar provides for proper acclimatization and a more pleasant climbing experience.
Trekking to Nepal's Everest Base Camp also allows us to go on an amazing trip that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay embarked on in 1953. On an adventure trek package that also involves ascending Kala Patthar to see panoramic views of Everest and the other Himalayas, our Sherpa will accompany us to the base camp of the world's tallest peak, Everest.
Nothing compares to the rush and sense of success that hikers feel when they witness the strength and elegance of the great mountain up close.
