6 days Kilimanjaro climbing via Machame Route starts from Moshi. It's a short drive to Machame Gate, which is the first stop on the route to Mount Kilimanjaro. Hikers can get to Shira Plateau by following the path through the rain forest. Here, a lot of Kilimanjaro's paths meet up. The path then goes east and goes under Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field on a path called the Southern Circuit. From Barafu, the climbers reach the top of the route.
