The 6 days Rongai Route Climbing Kilimanjaro Trekking & Hikes. comes at Mount Kilimanjaro from the south, starting with a short drive from Moshi to Machame Gate. Hikers can get to Shira Plateau by following the path through the rain forest. Here is where many of Kilimanjaro's paths meet. The path then goes east and goes under Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field on a path called the Southern Circuit. From Barafu, the climbers reach the top of the route.
