diversity of life develops in the place.
We are talking about the Huasco Valley - also known as “The Garden of Atacama”.
This still little-known destination not only is the scene of the spectacular phenomenon of the blooming desert which surprises us everey couple of
years, but also has a long agricultural tradition and between the arid plains and hills of the desert, a variety of especially tasty fruits is produced, as
well as delicious derived products of which three have a designation of origen.
Wildlife in this place is surprisingly diverse and stands out for its high degree of endemism.
During the program we´ll travel from the coastal sector to the Andes foothills through this valley full of contrasts, that is characterized by rural- and
nature tourism.
You’ll get to know villages, families that produce diverse local delicacies, histories and elaboration processes. And you can tase and savour.
Further you have the oportunity to connect with natutre and enjoy the particular landscapes e.g. during a hike in Llanos de Challe National Park or
in the colourful Pinte ravine also known as the “Rainbow of Atacama"
