Day Trip at Castel MIMI Winery and Asconi Winery
Moldova is so diverse and, being a post-soviet country, you can see in its everyday lifestyle, a combination of old, and new, modern and traditional. This day you will discover two different wineries, unique in their own way. Castel Mimi Winery is currently listed among the most beautiful architectural masterpieces in the world of wine. The story of the castle begins in 1893 when Constantin Mimi, the last governor of Bessarabia, planted the first grape vines on the place that would become legend over the years. Although it has been over a century since its founding, Constantin Mimi's winery has preserved its history and traditions that have consecrated it, and now it is presented in a modern way.

After a tour and a wine tasting, we will be heading to the nest spot. Asconi Winery - Winery was founded in 1994 and achieved a lot, due to modernization of the manufacturing process, Nowadays due to regular equipment investments, winemakers of the Winery use up-to-date production facilities of the best Italian and French manufactures. The wines are made both from local and European grape varieties like Feteasca, Traminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon and others. But in this cradle of traditions, it is not only about the wine, but also about gourmet traditional cuisine which is made daily with love by the locals, using only the best recipes and best ingredients for a truly memorable gastronomical experience.
