Three-day Serengeti migration
3 days Serengeti wildebeest migration is one of the most impressive natural events in the world. Every year, over a million wildebeest. The migration follows a circular path, dictated by the rains and the availability of food. The animals move in a continuous cycle, heading northward during the dry season and southward during the wet season. The migration is a dangerous journey, as the animals have to cross rivers, brave predators, and face other challenges along the way.
The migration starts around January, with the wildebeest calving season. Thousands of baby wildebeest are born each day during this time, providing an easy target for predators. As the rains stop and the grass dries up, the herds start to move northwards, heading towards the Grumeti River and the Mara River. The Mara River crossing, which usually takes place between July and September, is the most dramatic part of the migration.
