5 Days Rongai Route Kilimanjaro Climbing
The 5 Days Rongai Route Kilimanjaro Climbing offered by Macpace Tours & Safaris is an unforgettable adventure that will leave a lasting memory. The route starts from Arusha/Moshi town and connects with the Marangu route on the third day at Kibo hut camp. The first day is easy and offers opportunities to see wild animals like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and monkeys. The trip continues through the Marangu route, taking you directly to Marangu gate.The itinerary includes three days of hiking: from Rongai gate to Simba camp, then to Mawenzi tarn via Kikelewa tarn, then to Kibo hut camp and summit overnight. After an early breakfast, you cross the lunar desert of the saddle between Kibo peak and Mawenzi peak to Kibo Huts. The final day is at Horombo Huts camp, where you descend through the moorland to Mandara Huts and then back to Marangu Gate.
