5 Days Umbwe Route Kilimanjaro Climbing
The Umbwe Route Kilimanjaro Climbing is a challenging and challenging adventure suitable for experienced alpinists. The route takes a direct path to the southern glaciers and offers little time for acclimatization. The trip begins with a 6-hour ascent to Umbwe Cave Camp, followed by a 4-hour hike to Barranco Camp, where you will experience a transition from rainforest to moss-covered trees and heathland. The journey continues to Barranco Camp, where you will combine the Lemosho, Shira, and Machame routes with the Umbwe ascent. The journey continues to Barafu Camp, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay. The next day, you will ascend to Uhuru Peak, where you will experience a magnificent sunrise. The descent to Barafu Camp and Mweka Camp is a 4-hour descent, and the final day is spent at Mweka Park Gate, where you will sign out and board the vehicle for the transfer back to Moshi/Arusha.
