Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Continue through rainforest, then enter heather moorland
Pass Maundi Crater with panoramic views
Arrive at Horombo Hut (3,720 meters) for overnight stay
Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut

Spend the day acclimatizing at Horombo Hut
Optional hike to Zebra Rocks or Mawenzi Hut
Return to Horombo Hut for overnight stay
Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Ascend through alpine desert terrain
Pass by the Last Water Point
Reach Kibo Hut (4,700 meters) for overnight stay
Day 5: Summit Day - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Begin summit attempt around midnight
Trek to Gilman's Point (5,681 meters) on the crater rim
Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa
Descend to Kibo Hut, then further down to Horombo Hut for overnight stay
Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

Descend through rainforest to Marangu Gate
Finish trek and transfer back to Moshi or Arusha for celebrations and rest
