Day 3: Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Trek to Lava Tower (4,630 meters) for acclimatization
Descend to Barranco Camp (3,950 meters) for overnight stay
Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Climb the Barranco Wall
Traverse through alpine desert terrain
Reach Karanga Camp (4,035 meters) for overnight stay
Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Ascend to Barafu Camp (4,680 meters), the base camp for the summit
Rest and prepare for summit attempt
Early dinner and rest before summit push
Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, then descent to Mweka Camp

Begin summit attempt around midnight
Trek to Stella Point (5,756 meters) on the crater rim
Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa
Descend back to Barafu Camp for rest
Continue descent to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) for overnight stay
Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640 meters)
Complete trek and transfer back to Moshi or Arusha for celebrations and rest
